In Boston, February 23, 2017 Irene L. (Cormier) Wilcox wife of Thomas Wilcox died at St Elizabeth’s Hospital at the age of 69. Born in Brookline, Irene was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Bertha (Holerick) Cormier. She was retired from Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton for the registration department and she worked for the former Benjamin’s Restaurant in Taunton. She also enjoyed driving a school bus for special needs children. Irene was the coordinator for the Raynham cheerleaders in the 1980s and 90s and going on vacations on Long Lake in Maine. Irene was the loving mother of Nancy Caldeira and her husband John of Sandwich, Scott Blake of Tallahassee, FL, Kelly Murphy and her husband Sean of Raynham, Karen Wilcox and her fiancée Matthew Ito of East Bridgewater and the late Jamie Wilcox. Grandmother of TJ, Brenden, Tyler, Bryan Caldeira, Ryan, Dylan Murphy, Jordan Wilcox and Rylee Blake. Sister of the late William and Richard Cormier. Daughter in-law of Anne Wilcox and the late Edger Wilcox. Sister in-law of Nancy Dorsey and her husband James of Taunton. Aunt of several niece and nephews. Sister of Patricia Gallagher. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton on Monday, February 27th from 4-8 pm. A Mass will be held at St Ann’s Church in Raynham on Tuesday at 10 am. Interment Pleasant Street Cemetery in Raynham.
