Williams, Ivy M. (Ballack), age 93, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family in Florida on Monday, February 20th. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Mrs. Williams lived in Boston, MA for many years and raised her family in Mattapan, before moving to Bradenton, FL 10 years ago. She graduated from Laboure College and worked as a dietitian in the Health Care Industry. A loving and supportive wife and mother, Mrs. Williams was the beloved wife of the late Albert A. Williams and devoted mother of Patsy Hayden of Jamaica, Esther Fuller of CA, Vinnette Palmer of FL, Sherron Queensborough of Jamaica, Judith Winfield of CA, and the late Cepsard, Lenwood, and Ronald Williams. She was the dear sister of Theresa Anderson, NYC and brothers, Ray Matra of Boston, and Albert Matra of the UK. And is also survived by 15 cherished grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Hills Church, 29 St. Mary’s Rd., Milton Tuesday morning, February 28th at 10. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Monday, February 27th from 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery, Mattapan.
