Joseph R. Forte, 85, of Moorpark passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
Joseph was born on October 15, 1931 in Santa Monica and was a Ventura County resident for one year, having come from Arizona. He served in the U.S. Army and the C.B.'s for 23 years as a chief equipment operator.
Joseph enjoyed going fishing, playing pool, darts, and poker. He was a member of the American Legion in Ventura and Arizona.
Joseph is survived by his former wife, Jean Forte, of Moorpark; his sons: James Richard Forte and his wife Terry, of Oregon; Jerry Ray Forte and his life partner Kevin George, of Palm Springs; and Jahn Robert Forte of Oxnard; his daughter, Jenine Adams, Of Discovery Bay; his brother, Donald Edward Forte and his wife Marilyn of Newbury Park; his grandchildren, Jillian Rose, Jahnel, Nene Ashle, and Nicole; and his great grandchildren, Sean and Mia.
Memorial Services with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura.
