Obituary

Rick Cefalo of Arlington, Vermont died suddenly on Monday, February 20th. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Romeo and Josephine (DiVincenzo) Cefalo. After graduating from Medford High School, he proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, on the USS Forrestal. Together for over 41 years Rick and Nancy lived with their children in Vermont for over 20 years and he served as Post Master of Bennington for 20 years until retiring recently. A man who was larger than life, Rick loved his family and was happiest being with his kids. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors, he also enjoyed time at the beach in Maine.

Rick was the beloved husband of Nancy Cefalo and was a devoted father to Benjamin Cefalo and his wife Laura of Colorado, Katelyn Irwin and her husband Michael of Vermont, Kelsey Erenhouse and her husband Chad of Reading. He was the loving grandfather of Carter, Lucas, Isaac, Silas and Sawyer. Rick was the son-in-law of Betty Ciampa of Medford and the late John Ciampa. He was a dear brother of Albert Cefalo and his wife Joyce, Romeo Cefalo and his wife Laura and Joseph Cefalo and his wife Joy. He also leaves many loving nieces, nephews and his loyal Black Lab, Samson.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Sunday, February 26th, from 2-6 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, February 27th at 11 AM concluding with military honors.
