Evelyn J. (Pfister) Card, age 70, of Taunton, formerly of Middleboro and Lakeville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Longmeadow of Taunton.
Born in Middleboro, MA on September 16, 1946, she was a loving daughter of the late August and Pauline (Hayes) Pfister.
Evelyn grew up in Lakeville and was a 1965 graduate of Apponequet Regional High School. Prior to retiring, she had worked as a screener at the Ocean Spray Company and had previously been employed as a solderer at the Components Company in West Bridgewater.
Evelyn enjoyed knitting, dancing, reading and swimming. She had a special place in her heart for animals and feeding and watching the birds that frequented her yard.
She was the dear sister of Gertrude Simons and her husband Robert of Kissimmee, Florida and the late Barbara Baker, William Pfister and Allen Pfister. She was the longtime companion of the late Raymond Bessette and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services, along with burial at Central Cemetery in Middleboro will be held privately at the convenience of her family. Visiting hours have been omitted.
