Dorothy Ann (Madura) Zenkus, formerly of Webster, MA passed away, Tuesday, February 21 2017in Rock Hill, SC. She was born is Webster a daughter of Thomas and Sophie (Kulbacki) Madura. Her beloved husband Algird Leonard Zenkus died December 24, 2014. She is survived by one son, Leonard Orlowski and wife Celeste of Rock Hill SC ; 3 Grandchildren, Christopher Orlowski and wife Tiffany, Dustin Orlowski, all of Rock Hill SC, Emily (Orlowski) Rhodes and husband James of Great Falls SC; 7 Great- Grandchildren all of South Carolina, several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and sister-in-law Sally Madura of Southbridge, MA . She is also survived by an extended loving Zenkus family of 2 step sons; Al Zenkus and wife Margaret of Worcester and Vito Zenkus and wife Patricia of Charlton;
5 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren with their families in Worcester MA. She was predeceased by one step grandson, Marc Zenkus and one step-son Theodore Zenkus, brother Thomas Madura and first husband Bernard Orlowski.
Dorothy attended St. Joseph’s parochial school for 8 years and graduated from Bartlett High school in 1943. She worked as executive secretary at B-W Footwear for over 30 years and for limited times at other local companies, including Webster Spring in Oxford Ma. She belonged to: Lithuanian-American Roman Catholic Women’s Alliance, Lithuanian Social Club, National Guard of Lithuania in exile and a life member of the (DAV) auxiliary. She was a member of St. Casimir’s Lithuanian Church in Worcester until its closing and a former member of St. Joseph Basilica, Webster.
According to Dot’s wishes there will not be a public calling hours. A prayer service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 7:30 pm in Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward St. Burial with her husband Algird will be private in Notre Dame Cemetary. www.worcesterfuneral.com
