Frances Henderson
Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, February 23, 2017, Frances B. Henderson, 95, wife of the late Felix Ray Henderson.
Mrs. Henderson was a member of Lumpkin Road Baptist Church and the Ambassador Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker, loved helping people and always put others first. Mrs. Henderson was a devoted wife and mother. While her husband was serving in WWII, Mrs. Henderson was part of the greatest generation and supported the war effort as an actual “Rosie the Riveter”, assembling aircraft in Michigan.
Family members include, sons: Keith Henderson, Martinez, GA, Darrell Henderson (Syble), Grovetown, GA, Barry Henderson, Willow Park, TX; grandchildren: Debra McCall, Victoria Pennington, Kaitlyn Henderson, Kiley White, Ashley Little; two step-grandsons; six great grandchildren; sister: Henrietta Boudin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Mrs. Henderson is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Traci Lynn Henderson.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. at Lumpkin Road Baptist Church with Pastor Don Stone and Pastor Ed Chavis officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family requests charitable donations be made to Lumpkin Road Baptist, Church Building Fund at 2540 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906.
