Wareham- Robert W. ‘”Bobby” Grant was born on June 4, 1950 in Lynn, MA, one of seven children of the late Arthur T. and Dorothy M. (Jannell) Grant. Bobby lived at home until the age of 3, when he was admitted to the Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton. In 1984 he moved to a home in Wareham where he lived until his recent passing on February 9, 2017 after a lengthy illness.
Bobby enjoyed socializing with others and being active in the local community, as well as dining out and listening to music, especially anything with a lively beat. He also enjoyed attending a variety of sporting events and watching the Boston teams when at home. He shared a close bond with his five housemates and many of the support staff at both his home and his day habilitation program in Wareham, which he attended for the past twenty-one years. Although a man of few words, Bobby was able to light up a room, effectively communicate his thoughts and feelings, and positively impact the people around him by simply using his facial expressions, especially his winning smile and infectious laugh.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11 A.M. on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Agawam Cemetery, Great Neck Road, Wareham.
