Loretta M. (Lane) Ordway, 93, of Natick died Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham.
A Natick resident for 88 years, she was born in Graniteville, MA, the daughter of the late George and Leda (Brule) Lane.
Loretta moved to Natick at the age of five, speaking only French. She attended St. Patrick Grammar School learning English and was a proud graduate. She was a devout Catholic and supporter of the Parish and its Adoration Chapel her entire adult life. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling at the Fairways League in Natick, and playing bingo at St. Patrick’s and the Natick Elks, as well as volunteering her time there. And she never missed an opportunity to enjoy lunch with family and friends at her favorite restaurants.
She is survived by four children, Francis E. Ordway and his wife Patricia of Naples, FL, Joseph S. Ordway of Milford, Paul A. Ordway of Framingham, Linda M. Ordway and her companion Richard Pfeiff of Natick; her grandchildren, Lisa A. Kuzmich and her husband Andy of Pelham, NH, Kristen J. Merloni and her husband Jamie of Ashland, Brian Dant of Louisville, KY, Bryan J. Ordway of Millis; great-grandchildren, William Kuzmich; Jake, Dante, and Alexis Merloni, Joseph Dant and Hailey Dant; sisters-in-law Nora Ordway and Jeanne Ordway both of Natick and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Jean M. Blaisell and Carol A. Klayer, and she was the former wife of the late Francis A. Ordway.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral on Monday, February 27th at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Church at 10:00 A.M.
Visiting hours are Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.
