Virginia L. “Gini” (Godfrey) Clapp, 74, of Norfolk, died Monday, February 20, 2017 at Serenity Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham. She was the beloved wife of James H. Clapp.
Born in Millis on February 13, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Harold H. and Mildred (Lindahl) Godfrey.
Mrs. Clapp was a resident of Norfolk since 1970 and formerly resided in Millis.
She helped her husband with all facets of his landscaping business for many years and had also worked as a housekeeper.
Mrs. Clapp loved and cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
She enjoyed photography and doing arts and crafts, especially working with stained glass.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Gretchen Schramm and her husband John of Norfolk, Kristin McIntosh and her husband Jeff of Greenfield, New Hampshire and Sarah Monaco and her husband Steve of Bridgewater and six grandchildren, Connor, Brendan, Maddie, Kelsey, Louie and Arianna.
She is also survived by her sister Patricia Lowe of Gulfport, Florida and her brother Herbert Godfrey of Deerfield.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, March 4 from 12 – 2 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
Funeral services will be private at the request of Gini's family.
