Our beloved mother, Marie Vince Pizzolato, nee Sparacino, passed away on February 10th, 2017, at the age of 87. She was under the loving care of the staff at Bourne Manor for the past five years, the first few months of which were spent there with her adoring husband, Victor. The last year she was also cared for by the wonderful staff from Kindred Hospice. There are no words to express our appreciation for the support she had in her final months, and particularly, in her last moments.
She is survived by her son Biagio and his partner Raymond L’Heureux, son Victor and his wife Debra Pizzolato, as well as his former wife, Janis Burpee Pizzolato and their sons Victor, Robert, Nicholas and grandson, Caleb, and also, son John, his daughter Erica, and his wife Lisa Estrada Pizzolato, daughter Veronica Hildinger and her husband Rolf, and daughter JoAnne Pizzolato. She was a friend and mother to many here and throughout her life in New York and Florida. Marie loved to watch the birds outside her window at Bourne Manor and joyfully awaited the fragrance and beauty of the lilacs that bloomed every May, the month in which she was born in 1929. She has also had many adoring pets, the last of which is still with us, her little poodle, Gorgeous.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Church, 141 Main Street, Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, at 11 o’clock on Saturday morning, March 4th, 2017. All are welcome to attend. She will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Bourne with her late husband, Victor. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Marie’s favorite and lifelong charity, Covenant House, 460 West 41st Street, New York, NY 10036, or at CovenantHouse.org.
