Southbridge – Ronald Henry Hazen “Uncle Ronnie”, 79, of 12 Town Farm Road, Charlton, MA died Thursday, February 16, 2017, in Southbridge Rehabilitation Care Center in Southbridge.
Ronnie was preceded by his parents, Henry M. and Lucy E. (Tomolonis) Hazen; a sister, Dorothy E. Whittemore and a brother, William Hazen.
Ronnie leaves his niece, Carline and her husband Edward of Charlton, who have been his caregivers for the last seventeen years; a brother Edwin Hazen of Boylston; many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, great-grand-nieces and great-grand-nephews, and his extended family The Stewarts from Camp Putnam in New Braintree.
Ronnie retired as a Sanitation Worker for the City of Worcester and worker at Camp Putnam for 35 years. He was a kind person with a big heart, a huge smile and a great sense of humor. A very caring person who would give you the shirt off his back, even in death he will continue to give as he has donated his body to UMass for research. Therefore there will be no services.
