Obituary

Fulton Lee “Bud” Brooks, 92, a World War II veteran, passed away February 20, 2017.
He was a retired Chief Warrant Officer IV with the U.S. Army, a retired employee of National Distillers, and an Honorary and Founding Member of the McMahan Fire Department.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 67 years, Inez (Wingfeld) Brooks, daughters, Carolyn Brooks-Johnson (Jim), Yvonne Nantz (Jim), Linda Conrad (John) and Barbara Forbes (Bill); grandchildren, Jeremy Curd, David (Chrissy), Brian (Kristen), Amy and Jill Givan; Holly Kahafer, Kevin Grigsby, Meghan, Lauren and Max Forbes; great grandchildren, Austin, Garrett, Emma, Nora, John, Tyson and Maggie; sister, Jane Thompson; his sister-in-law, Lois Kapfhammer (Gene); and nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Ratterman Funeral Home, Jeffersontown, 10600 Taylorsville Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorial gifts may be made to the WHAS Crusade for Children, c/o McMahan Fire Department, or Hosparus.
