Barbara Jean Eason
Barbara J. Eason passed away Thurs. Sept. 1st at the Winchester Hospital. She was 82 years of age.
Barbara was born in Boston on March 22, 1923 to Timothy and Margaret (Folan) Haley. She was raised in Winchester and graduated from Winchester High, Class of 1940. Barbara went on to graduate from Lowell State and furthered her education at Tufts University in Medford.
Mrs. Eason was an elementary school teacher for the Town of Winchester. She taught at both the Washington and Vincent Owen Elementary Schools in Winchester for 38 years. Barbara was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Elliot H. “Sunny” Eason of Woburn and two nephews, Robert and William Sampson both of Rhode Island.
Funeral services will be held from the Costello Funeral Home on Tuesday September 6th at 10:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment VA National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
