Linda Anne Winship (Roy)
Linda a. Winship 62, of Patten Maine passed away on February 20, 2017 at The Gosnell Memorial hospice house in Scarborough Maine. Cause of Death was Natural.
She was born July 12, 1954 in Patten, Maine to Leaonard J. Roy and Alvina M. Roy.
After graduating from Katahdin High School. She married Herbert B Winship Jr on August 2, 1975, they divorced in 1997.
Herbert B Winship wrote a poem for her before He passed away on October 25, 1997. It was written on March 1997
She Is
She is beautiful and bold
But not like the ocean cold.
She is the warmth of day
And as fresh as the flowers of May.
Her occupations were a cook at two different nursing home one named Mountain Heights in Patten Maine and the other Southridge Living Center in Biddeford Maine.
Her hobbies were reading love stories, coloring and knitting blankets for family and friends. Plus she loved being with her kids and grandkids. She also loved looking and going to light houses, and she loved cooking for her family and friends that she loved.
She is predeceasd by both parents Leonard J. Roy and Alvina M. Roy. Plus two brothers Leon J. Roy and Ronald J. Roy.
Linda is survived by her three kids. Herbert B. Winship 3rd of Sanford Maine and his kids Lindsey A. Winship of Mass., Herbert B. Winship 4th of Mass., and Bradley J. Winship of Standish Maine. Jennie S. Beaupre and her husband John E. Beaupre and their kids James O. Beaupre and Breeanna S. Beaupre of Sanford Maine. Jammie A. Winship and her fiancé Shawn D. Hodge and her kids Teyonya P. Shaw and her fiancé Josh C. Jordan, Tanner J. Winship, Daniel A. Dennison and Anthony M. Dennison of Sanford Maine. Her step grandkids Rebecca Mc Phee and her daughter from Mass. Bruce H. Berry and Aaliyah B. Blow from Standish Maine. She also loved the mother to her grand babies their names are Lori Mc Phee from Mass. and Wendy Winship from Standish Maine.
Linda is survived by five siblings Leona M. Hatch from Hermon Maine, Allen L. Roy and his wife Sharon from Big Stone Gap, VA, John P. Roy and his wife Arline of Patten Maine, Louise Casey (Roy) and her husband Marty From Fall River, KS and Albert M. Roy and his wife Carolyn from Patten Maine. Great Aunt Joyce Hunter from Patten Maine and as well as all of her nephews and nieces.
Her Family will be holding a celebration of Life in Sanford Maine at Gowen Park On June 15, 2017 at 12pm until 3pm. They will be releasing yellow balloons in memory of Linda Winship. They are also having a service in Patten on July 12, 2017 for the times of service please call Jammie at 207-604=8945 or Jennie at 207-502-9871
