Doyle-William J., former Trial Attorney with Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and Doyle & Doyle, Attorneys at Law (Boston and Falmouth, MA). “Bill” was a family man in the truest sense of the word and will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Helene (Sweeney) Doyle, of West Falmouth, MA; his beloved daughter, Mary Frances Horan and her husband Stephen of Wellesley, MA; his seven sons and their wives including William J. Jr. and Judith of Manchester, MA; Frederick M. and Joan of Quincy, MA; John V. and Sheila of Manalapan, FL; Edward X. and Camille of Morristown, NJ; Lawrence W. and Valerie of Greenwich, CT; Thomas F. and Shevaun of Irvington, NY; and Kevin P. and Emily of Santa Monica, CA. 29 adoring grandchildren, his sister, Anne M. Doyle of Brighton, MA; his brother, Norbert of Blue Bell, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.
Preceded into eternal life by his parents Frederick T. Sr. and Katharine (Silsbury) Doyle; his sister Catherine Marie Doyle; and his brothers, the Honorable Frederick T. Jr.; the Honorable Charles R.; Richard M. and Edward F. Doyle.
Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Friday, February 24, at 9:00A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Name Church at 10:00A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours in the Funeral Home, on Thursday, February 23, from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Internment St. Joseph Cemetery.
Veteran, U.S. Army, 1st Lt, (JAG); graduate Boston College High School class of 1944; College of the Holy Cross, class of 1948; and Boston University Law School, class of 1951.
Bill was a long-time member of the Woods Hole Golf Club, Falmouth, MA, where he enjoyed the companionship and friendly competition of friends and family members for 35 years.
