Providence, Rhode Island – Frank R. Amaral, age 72 of Dartmouth, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at The Providence VA Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Lacey) Amaral and the son of the late Frank R. Amaral and Theresa (Perry).
Frank proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 9059 in Dartmouth. He worked as a Musician for many years until his retirement.
He is survived by 3 children: Michelle Amaral and her husband George Fournier of Dartmouth, Teresa Amaral Travis of Wareham and Patricia Amaral Gervasi and her husband Dominic of Milton; 5 grandchildren: Avery M. Tavares, Rachel Amaral, Zachary Travis, Vincent Gervasi and Theresa Gervasi . He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Frank was the father of the late Robert S. Amaral and the brother of the late Manuel Botelho, Antone Botelho, Edmund Botelho, Roland Botelho and Franceline Amaral.
His funeral will be Wednesday beginning in the funeral home at 7:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret’s Church in Buzzards’s Bay at 9:30 A.M. Burial will follow in The Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Visiting hours will be Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 P.M.
