Michael F. McElhinney passed away suddenly in his home January 16th, 2017 in Sharpsburg, GA at the age of 62. Michael grew up in Winchester, MA and was a graduate of Winchester High School and Tufts University. Prior to living in Sharpsburg, GA, he made his home in Berwick, Maine and Jaffrey, NH. Michael is survived by his beloved wife Sylvia of Sharpsburg; mother Barbara of Woburn, MA, brother Robert Jr. and his wife Alice of Melrose, MA, sisters Carol Kuhlman of Saint Petersburg, FL, Anne Duran and her husband Thomas of Bridgewater, MA, brother Paul and his wife Jeanne of Chelmsford, MA, and brother Sean and his wife Kelly of Clovis, CA, along with several nephews and nieces, beloved aunts, and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his father Robert McElhinney. Michael worked many years as a Chemical Engineer and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors; he was an avid hiker, fisherman and photographer. A private memorial service will be held.
