Laconia—John M. Albison Jr., 77, of 30 County Drive, died on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Belknap County Nursing Home.
John was born in Augusta, ME, on February 28, 1939 the son of Helen (Webber) and John M. Albison Sr. He attended the Farmington State College in Farmington, ME where he received his masters degree. John worked for many years as a teacher. After teaching John started working in the insurance industry and eventually opened the Albison Insurance Company. He had been a resident of the Lakes Region for over thirty-five years. In addition to spending time with his family, John was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots; he was also an avid golfer.
John is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Carolyn “Cubby” (Whitman) Albison; a son, Bradley Albison; a daughter Kerry Moore and her husband Dana; four grandchildren, Alexcia Smith, Hunter Moore, Austin Moore, and Keagan Moore; a brother, Steve Albison and his wife Suzanne; a niece; Lynne Cote; and a nephew, Stephen Albison. He is predeceased by his parents.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
