Zelvis, Anna M. (Veneto), age 86, formerly of Dorchester, of Kingston, passed away peacefully, Feb. 15th. Anna was a graduate of Jeremiah Burke High School, Dorchester. She retired after 25 years as an Office Manager of Boston Mutual Insurance Co. For years Anna was a good friend to many and she enjoyed entertaining and showcasing her expertise cooking Italian food for those dear folks. A lover of animals, she frequently fed and cared for the neighborhood stray cats. A loving and supportive wife and mother, she is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, John E. Zelvis. She was the devoted mother of Jonathan E. & his wife Karen of Rockland and Paul J. Zelvis (BPD) & his wife Kristen of Duxbury and cherished grandmother of Benjamin Paul, Olivia Mae and Abigail Grace Zelvis and Brendan McCaughey. She was predeceased by her dear sisters and brothers; the late Mary Cornaro, Lena Cox, Dominic, Paul, Michael, Joseph, Angelo, John and Peter Veneto. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Tuesday morning, February 21 at 10:30. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Monday, February 20th from 4 to 8 PM. She will be buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
