Sheila P. Fitzgerald, a 15 year resident of Woburn and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following an extended illness. She was 58 years old.
Sheila was born in Everett on February 10, 1959, a daughter of the late Joseph P. Fitzgerald and Margaret M. (Leahy) Fitzgerald. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Girls Catholic High School in 1977. Sheila worked at Boston Fire Department Headquarters in Boston as a Data Entry Analyst for over 10 years. She enjoyed playing bingo in her spare time.
Sheila is the devoted mother of Kelly Gordon and her husband A.J. of Seekonk. She is the loving sister of retired Boston Firefighter Leo Fitzgerald and his wife Debra of The Villages, Florida, Peggy O'Leary and her late husband Artie of Saugus and the late Joseph Fitzgerald. She is the dear friend of Dennis Browne of Woburn. She is the beloved niece of Margaret Cote of Manchester, New Hampshire. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Sheila's visiting hours on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. with her Funeral Service at 3:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial is private.
