Obituary

Wayne M. Furness of Marshfield age 68, died peacefully after a long illness February 12th. He was the beloved son of the late George Furness Sr. and Berneice (Ormiston) of Pembroke.

He is survived by his sister Barbara Coonan and her husband David of Whitman, his brother George Furness Jr. and his wife Janice of Pembroke, his brother David Furness of Middleboro, and many cousins, nieces and nephews, who adored him. Best known as Uncle Noodlehead to some.

He was a graduate of Silver Lake High, Class of 1966. Wayne received his Bachelor’s Degree at Northeastern University and Masters in Business Administration at Eastern Nazarene College.

Wayne served his country in the United States Army as a sergeant from 1967-1973.

He was an electrician owning Furness Electric for many years, then had worked at Square D as a project manager.

His Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 21st at 12:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Visitation will be held prior to his service from 10:00AM -12:00PM. Burial will be in the Center Cemetery, Pembroke.
