HENDERSON, Elizabeth “Betty”, 74, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017.
Today, our mother rejoined her one true love. We can’t think of a more timely exit from this world than on a day dedicated to the one you feel passionate about. If you knew Jim and Betty Henderson you knew how nuts they were and how exactly crazy they were about each other and how they were a perfect match. They were strong and yielding. They were relentless and forgiving. They were critical and supportive. And they were fiercely in love with one another. Goodbye, Mom, until we see you again.
Besides being preceded in death by her husband, Betty was also preceded in death by her son, Doug Henderson; brother, Larry Alan Dobbs; and her parents, Betty and Robert Harold Dobbs.
Betty is survived by her children, Kevin Henderson (Kym), Keith Henderson (Debbie); and Rob Henderson (Chelsea); grandchildren, McKenzie, Christina (Jon), Nicholas, Kayla, Ben, Tom, Eli, Callie, and Ashlyn; brothers, Bobby Dobbs (Nancy) and Mark Dobbs (Karen); and sister, Tina Dougle (Doug).
Visitation will be 4pm-8pm Friday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road. Funeral service will be 11am Saturday at the funeral home, followed by burial at Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.
