Janey Guy Sheffield, 69, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Sheffield was born August 17, 1947, in Tifton, Georgia, to the late John Thomas Guy and Helen Henry Guy Wiggins. She was a homemaker and loved to read. She loved pets, especially her cat, Tinky. She was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her companion of 17 years, Artice “Bo” Griner of Fitzgerald; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Sammy & Janice Guy of Fitzgerald and John L. “Buddy” & Mae Guy of Adel; as well as numerous nephews and nieces and great-nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald James Sheffield.
