Shauna R. (Toomey) Donahue, a life long Charlestown resident, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 63 years of age.
Shauna was born in Mattoon, Illinois, a daughter of the late John J. Toomey and Edythe J. (Prentice) Toomey. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School System and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1971. Shauna worked as a clerk for the City of Boston for 15 years before working as a cashier at Johnny's FoodMaster in Charlestown and Store 24 on Main Street in Charlestown for several years. Shauna was an avid reader and loved listening to Patsy Cline.
Shauna is the beloved wife of the late Michael P. Donahue. She is the devoted mother of Kerrin Donahue of Quincy, Courtney Donahue of Everett, Michael P. Donahue Jr. and his wife J.C. of Charlestown, and Timothy Donahue and his wife Shauna of Charlestown. She is the loving grandmother of Molleigh, Taelyn, Timothy II, and Luke. She is the beloved sister of John "Sam" Toomey Jr. and his wife Barbara of Carver, Jerene Hutchings and her husband Paul "Hutch", Kevin Toomey and his wife Maria of Derry, New Hampshire and Mark Toomey and his wife Mary of Middleboro. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Shauna's visiting hours on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 11 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. with her Funeral Service at 1:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Her burial is private.

Shauna's family asks that everyone bring a photo of Shauna, if available, to place on a memory board in the funeral home on Saturday.
