DRACUT - Mr. John J. “Sinbad” Sartori Jr., age 77, an active out-doors man and a resident of Tewksbury for over forty-three years, died peacefully on Friday evening, Feb. 10, at Lowell General Hospital, after a long period of declining health. John, nicknamed “Sinbad” since his youth, was born in East Boston, one of two sons of the late John J. and Amalia (Martella) Sartori, and was raised in East Boston, where he graduated East Boston High School. He and his wife lived on Whipple Road in Tewksbury for four decades, before moving to a new home in Dracut two months ago.
He worked as an Engineer for several Boston area HVAC contractors until retirement.
“Sinbad “ loved the great out-doors, and was an accomplished bow hunter. He held membership in the Nashoba Sportsman Club in Acton, loved his vegetable and flower gardens, and puttering in his grape arbor. But the love of his life was his family.

Sartori and his wife Diane (Wesp) of Woodbridge, VA; his brother, James Sartori and his wife Patricia of East Boston; four grandchildren, Victoria Stucchi and her husband Steven Boutin of Pepperell, Nicolai Sartori, Donald Sartori, and Cathelene Sartori all of VA; two great grandchildren, Molly and Calandra; his brothers-in-law, Andrew Sacco and his wife Louise and Gerald Sacco and his wife Patricia all of Tewksbury; and many nieces and nephews.
