FRAWLEY Ann S. age 86, a longtime Needham resident, died February 9, 2017 at Wingate Nursing Home after an extended illness. Born on August 4, 1930 in Horoshova, Ukraine to Petro and Domka Shulhan, the family emigrated to the United States in 1938. She grew up Pittsfield, MA and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1949. Ann married William Frawley in 1953 with whom she had five children, Sharon, Peter, Lisa, Michael, and Joseph; and moved to Needham in 1974. For many years Ann was an avid bridge player and well known for her tenacity and wit. She is predeceased by her husband William and her son Peter, as well as a brother John Shulhan. She is survived by her remaining children, seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and her two brothers, Alex Shulhan and Benjamin Shulhan.
