Mildred (Upchurch) Hay, 98, Anderson died February 9, 2017 at Monticello House in Anderson after an extended illness.
She was born July 30, 1918 in Albany, Kentucky the daughter of Stanley and Ida (McKinley) Upchurch, lived most of her life in New Castle, moving to Anderson 1991.
She was a team leader for Avon which she sold for 25 years and helped her husband with the farm. She was always busy and active.
She loved her family, they came first. She was a member of Walnut Street Church of God in New Castle for many years; Ladies Aide, election officer on the board of Liberty Township.
She attended East Side Church of God in Anderson.
Survivors include her son, Tom "TJ" (Linda) Hay; daughter, Priscilla (Jerry) Hudson; grandchildren, Richard Hay, Angie Miller, Alicia Ahnert; Brian Hudson and Kelly Doramacos; great grandchildren, Madeline Wages-Hay; Levi Hay, Hunter Hay, Cooper Ahnert, Cash Ahnert, Merritt Miller, Addison Hudson and Kylee Hudson; sister, Arlee Luttrell, brother Marvin Upchurch and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Hay whom she married September 30, 1938, died in 1996, three sisters, Genève Eiseman, Ada Mack Beasey and Bonnie Britt.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday, February 13 at South Mound Cemetery with Rev. Gary McCaslin officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association or St. Vincent Hospice.
