Jessica Lorane Ross, 14, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia.
Funeral services will be 4 PM, Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Henderson Chapel Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County with Elder Mickey Harris and Elder Mike DeVane officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
Jessica was born December 21, 2002, in Tifton, Georgia, to Don & Karen Revels Ross of Ocilla. She was an 8th grade student at Irwin County Middle School where she was a member of the Y-Club and served on student council. She enjoyed competitive swimming with the Fitzgerald Fins Swim Team. Jessica enjoyed ministering to nursing home patients through baking cookies during the holidays. She had a passion for animals of all kinds evidenced by her giving the first fish she ever caught a kiss, just before frying it. A member of Henderson Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Jessica was heaven sent to her family. She brought light into the lives of her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Christi & Bryan Allen of Columbus; grandparents: J.V. & Geneva Revels of Mystic and Charles & Sara Ross of Ocilla; special aunts: Bobbie & Darrell Ross, Cindy & “Uncle PP” Freeman, Heather & Greg Ross and an uncle, Keith Revels as well as many special cousins. Her cat, Winston and her shih tzu, Palin will also miss her. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Donald “Donnie” Ross and grandparents, Phyllis & Jim Davis.
