Sestino Federico of Medford died on Wednesday, February 8, at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston. Born and raised in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy, he was the son of the late Cresenzo and Maria Giuseppa (Centofanti) Federico. Sestino came to the U.S. in 1955, settling first in Boston's North End before moving to Medford in 1996. He was a proud member of Local 22.
Sestino was the beloved husband of Emma Federico, and the devoted father of Josephine Cocorochio and her husband John, Marisa Ciano and her husband Andrea, all of Medford, Adelia Federico and her husband Bruno of Stratham, NH, John Federico and his wife Sabrina of Salem, MA, and Richard Federico and his wife Cristina of Greenland, NH. He was the loving grandfather of Jennifer Cocorochio, Giuseppina Ciano, Andrea Ciano Jr, Pietro Ciano and his wife Sophia, Brian, Amanda, Rachel, Vanessa, and Natalia Federico, and the loving great grandfather of Pietro Jr., Stavro, and Zoi Ciano. Sestino was the brother of Anna DiCenso, the late Domenico Federico, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, February 13 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. Visiting hours Sunday, February 12 from 2 through 6 PM.
