CHANGE OF SERVICE
Frank E. Lemasa, age 70, of Abington, formerly of Brockton, died Monday, February 6, 2017, at his home under hospice care. Frank was a son of the late Pantaleon and Grace (Robinson) Lemasa and had been a resident of Abington for the past 15 years. Frank worked for over 30 years for the New England Telephone Company and retired as an Area Operations Manager.
Frank was very proud that he grew up on the Eastside of Brockton and that he attended the Brockton public schools. Over the years, he stayed friends with many of his childhood schoolmates, the closest being Joe Morana, whom he had known since they were both 4 years old.
Frank enjoyed music and belonged to a 50's a Capella music group called the "East End Blend". He loved to dance, have a good time, and mostly reminisce about the "old days". He loved sports and had volunteered as a coach with the Brockton Youth Soccer League. Frank was also an avid Patriots fan and celebrated their many wins. He will be remembered for being a witty, caring, and above all, loyal friend.
Frank is survived by his son Atty. David Jordan Lemasa and his wife, Dr. Jessica Lemasa, and their son Christopher, of Glastonbury, CT; and his beloved daughter, Dana S. Lemasa of Scituate. Frank also leaves his longtime, cherished companion, Kathy McKernan of Abington.
Frank was the brother of Laura Clark and her husband “Sonny” of Waterford, CT; of Linwood “Murphy” Lemasa and his wife Beverly of Marshfield; of Grace Prodigialidad of San Diego, CA; and of the late George “Louie” Lemasa, Carlton “Ski” Lemasa, Lorenzo Lemasa, Paula Forcina, and Jimmy Santangelo. Frank was the former husband of Linda Jordan Chew of Pembroke.
**A procession will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 14 at 11am for a Funeral Mass at Christ the King/St. Colman’s Church at 12 noon, with a burial service to follow at Calvary Cemetery. **
