Janice Elizabeth Register Arrington, 75, of Lenox passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2017, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Casey Shaw officiating. Mrs. Arrington will be laid to rest at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 12, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Eddie Ray, Ed Ray, Gary Turner, Shane Daughtrey, Gill Whatley and Brian Carroll will serve as pallbearers.
Born August 5, 1941 in Adel, Mrs. Arrington was the daughter of the late William E. Register and Thelma Kennedy Register. She was also preceded in death by her husband, L. A. Arrington. She was retired from Piggly Wiggly.
Mrs. Arrington is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Heather Giddens of San Jose, California; one daughter, Wendy Vance of Tallahassee, Florida; two brothers, Bobby Register and Benny Register, both of Lenox; two sisters, Martha Ann Bannister of Lenox and Peggy Griffin of Helen; and five grandchildren, Melissa Giddens, Amanda Giddens, Tyler Giddens, Will Hoss and Angela Hoss.
