Lorraine A. (DeBeaucourt) Florentino, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Monday, February 6, 2016 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following an extended illness. She was 84 years of age.
Lorraine was born in Boston on May 23, 1932, a daughter of the late George DeBeaucourt and Margaret (Maguire) DeBeaucourt. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Lorraine was a homemaker throughout her life, taking time to care for her beloved family.
Lorraine is the beloved wife of 51 years to Arthur Florentino. She is the devoted mother of Mary Merritt of Scituate, Linda Houghton-Collings of Lynnfield, Donna Houghton-Mullett of Lawrence, Arthur Florentino Jr. of Foxboro, Mark A. Florentino of Chelsea, and Keith D. Florentino of Foxboro. She is the loving Nana to Shayne Merritt, Whitney Collings, Devin Collings, Alan Florentino, Kevin Florentino, and Tommy Florentino. She is the beloved sister of Richard DeBeaucourt of Groton, Peggy DeBruyn of Abington, Clare LeBlanc of Uxbridge, and the late Jeannette Carmody, and George J. DeBeaucourt.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lorraine's Funeral on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Her visiting hours will be on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
