Pearl L. (Hammond) Faber, 92, of New Bedford passed away Monday February 6, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late George A.E. Faber.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Chester Mortimer Hammond and Delvina Agatha (Theberge) Hammond, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Mrs. Faber loved interior decorating, gardening, needlepoint, and knitting. She had been a member of the Ding-a-ling Club.
She is survived by her daughters, Dianne P. Gardner of New Bedford and Suzanne C. Faber of Limerick, Maine; her sister-in-law, Hazel Poole of Romney, West Virginia; her niece, Kristen Glavin and husband Jeffrey of Marion and their children, Kristiana Pastir and husband Steve of Stratford, CT, Jeffrey A. Glavin and wife Hannah of Mt. Holly, N.C., and James Glavin of Marion; as well as other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was the sister of the late Elton Hammond.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 12 Noon at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
