Due to the expected snow storm on Thursday, services for Diana have been postponed one day.
Visiting hours will be on Friday from 3 thru 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning starting at 9 a.m. at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 250 Revere St., Revere, at 11 a.m.
Diana M. Telis, of Wilmington formerly of Reading passed away sudden and unexpected, February 2, 2017. She was 59 years of age. Diana was the beloved wife of Peter F. Telis and together they shared 29 years of companionship and marriage. Born in Chelsea, Diana was the cherished daughter of Romolo and Jennie (Pietropaolo) Citro.
Diana was raised and educated in Chelsea and was a Chelsea High School graduate. She also attended the Mansfield Beauty Academy studying cosmetology. For many years she owned and operated the Romulus Hair Design of Melrose. She also worked for many years with DARE Family Services as a home finder helping displaced families. Most recently she was employed as a paraprofessional with the Melrose Public School System and also served as a past Treasurer for their Union.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Diana is survived by Peter’s children; Christopher Telis and his wife Chelsea, and Kimberly (Telis) LaVerde and her children Justin and Paige LaVerde. She was the devoted sister of Carmine Citro and his wife Kathleen, Guy Citro and his wife Kathy. Sister-in-law of Evelyn and Michael Lucas and is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Saturday, February 11th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday from 3 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Diana’s memory to EMARC, 26 Princess St. Ste 303, Wakefield, MA 01880 or Special Olympics Massachusetts, 512 Forest St., Marlborough, MA 01752.
