Obituary

Ann K. (Lacey) Wallace, a current resident of Salisbury and a former 50 year resident of Charlestown entered into eternal life on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ann was born on July 21, 1941 and was the daughter of Zelma (Kepple) & Herbert (Gus) Lacey. Ann grew up in Charlestown was known as “Gitchie” to her close friends. Ann graduated from Charlestown High School and was active in basketball, bowling and dancing. Ann held several jobs during her life, most notably at Bell Telephone Company and Investors Bank & Trust. Ann was a member of the Charlestown Old Schoolgirls Association. Ann was also a Board member on the Salisbury Council on Aging.

Ann spent countless hours volunteering her time to numerous organizations. Ann would distribute meals to those less fortunate during the holiday season. Ann spent time volunteering at Mass General Hospital. Ann volunteered for the Northern Essex Elder Transport Association, providing rides to those less fortunate to and from hospital visits. In her free time, Ann loved to travel and explore the world.

Ann was the devoted wife to the late Robert Francis Wallace of Charlestown. Ann was the loving mother of Jeremiah Wallace and his wife Denise Wallace of Newburyport, Teresa Wallace of Charlestown, Jo-Anne Wallace of Charlestown and Daniel Francis Wallace and his wife Helen (Scales) Wallace of Stoneham. Ann was the loving grandmother to Shauna and her husband Joseph Kane, Shane, James, Madison, Steven, Cameron, Robert, Liam & Ella. Ann was the beloved sister of Walter Lacey and her late brother Fred Lacey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ann's Funeral Mass on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 11 A.M. in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown. Her burial is private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
