Rose (Texeira) Cabral age 93 of Taunton, passed away on February 3, 2017 after a period of failing health.
She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Cabral, Sr. Born and raised in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Joaquim and Laura (Vaz) Texeira.
Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. Rose devoted her life to her family. Rose found great joy in creating a warm and loving home where friends and family often gathered. She enjoyed baking, bingo, playing cards and puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters Laura Homer and her husband John of Taunton, with whom she lived, and Maryann Quintiliani and her husband Egidio of Quincy, and one son, Joseph F. Cabral, Jr. and his wife Beth of Swanzey, New Hampshire.
She is also survived by her five grandchildren and three great grandchildren who brought her great joy: Caitlin (Cabral) Halliburton and her husband Jonathan; Erica, Hannah and Benjamin Cabral, and Jay Homer;and her great granddaughters, Noa Halliburton and Nova LaBoffa and great grandson, Lincoln Halliburton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Alfred Texeira, Charles Texeira, Lawrence Texeira, and sisters Lydia Borges and Mary Texeira. Rose was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 9:00 am from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at St. Mary's Square). Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony’s Church, 126 School Street, Taunton at 10 am.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
