Yvonne T. King, 77, of Derry, NH, died Friday, February 3, 2017 in her home. She was born in Inverness, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada on May 8, 1939, a daughter of the late Colin and Mary Hattie MacDougall. Yvonne had been a resident of Derry for the past 45 years, formerly living in Lynn, MA. She had been employed for 32 years at Nutfield Heights in Derry as an administrator, retiring in 2015. Yvonne enjoyed gardening, and loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Scott King, Jon King, Lori Nadeau, and Lesa Therrien; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; as well as two sisters, Matilda Podlesney, and Colina LeBlanc. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, James F. King in 2010.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday, February 8th from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. Funeral services were held on Thursday at 10:00am in the funeral home. The burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry.
