John David Hill, 61, of Lithonia passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Vistas Hospice in Duluth. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2017, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Dr. Wayne Roe officiating. Mr. Hill will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 11, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Spencer Branch, Steve Branch, Buddy Hill, Scott Branch, Tommy Hill and Jeff Hill will serve as pallbearers.
Born July 1, 1955 in Tift County, Mr. Hill was the son of the late James Fred Hill, Sr. and Hattie Smith Hill. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Dr. Fred Hill, Jr. He was a loving and caring person.
Mr. Hill is survived by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Andy and Debbie Hill of Suwanee, Tommy and Sandra Hill of Mount Airy, North Carolina and Buddy Hill of Decatur; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Dan Branch of Tifton, Betty J. “B. J.” and Dr. Ellis Malone of Marietta and Anita Hill of Atlanta; a sister-in-law, Barbara Hill of Big Canoe; and many special nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hill's family would like to express a sincere thanks to his care-givers, Stacey, Edna, Denea, Davia, Veneka, Minnette, Carol and Letisha for their special care and attention to Mr. Hill.
