WAYLAND: Alvie Yang Ye, 87, of Wayland passed away on January 30, 2017. Alvie was born on November 8, 1929 in Suzchou, China to Von Sung Yang and Ho-Ching Yang.
Alvie had a great appreciation of music and enjoyed playing the recorder and viola da gamba. She loved nature and remained active hiking and enjoying the outdoors for many years. She loved travelling and visiting with her children and grandchildren.
Alvie is pre-deceased by her sisters Gertrude, Anna and Stella and her brother John. She leaves behind one brother, George Yang of Washington and a sister Lucy Yang of New York. Alvie leaves behind seven children, Jeanne Harbison and her husband Alex Harbison of North Carolina, Steven Ye of North Carolina, Christine Ye and her husband Jeffrey Marso of Washington, Eric Ye and his wife Sue Ye of Pennsylvania, Marc Ye of Minnesota, Edward Ye and his wife Paula Ye of West Brookfield and Lisa Ye of Washington. She leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services are private. A Memorial Service in honor of Alvie’s life is being planned for the future.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Ascend Hospice, Commonwealth Caregivers and Orchard Hill Assisted Living for their support in her final days.
