NIELSEN Inger Raahauge age 64, of Wellesley died on Jan. 27, 2017 at Parlin House Hospice Home in Wayland after suffering from a brain tumor for 2 years. She was born in Koege, Denmark and graduated from the Danish Midwife School in 1976. In 1992 she graduated from Wellesley College as a CE/Davis Scholar. She was Director of Reunions at Wellesley College and also worked at the Scandinavian Living Center in West Newton. Recently she had worked for One World Women’s Health, a small non-profit helping women in Sierra Leone with women’s health issues. Wherever she came she brought her warmth, her humor, and her vibrant energy.
She leaves her husband of 40 years, Vincent DeSantis, MD, her sons, Simon DeSantis and his wife Maureen Welch of Hartford CT, and Christopher DeSantis and his wife Katherine and their daughter Olivia DeSantis all of Jersey City, NJ, as well as a brother, 2 sisters and 7 nieces and nephews in Denmark.
