In Taunton, February 1, 2017 Mary Rita (Carvalho) Drummond, Passed away at the age of 89 with her loving family by her side. Mary was the wife of the late William Drummond. She was born in Dighton, the daughter of the late Jose & Anna (Gomez) Carvalho. Mary was a resident of Taunton since 1986 and was formerly of Dighton. She was educated in Dighton schools and was a graduate of Dighton High School, class of 1945. She was employed at Drummond Printing Company in Taunton and also at Bridgewater State College in the library. Mary loved playing cribbage with her family, traveling, watching N.E. sports teams and above all the time she spent with her family. She leaves her children, Mark Drummond and his wife Karen of Taunton, Mary Ellen Bate of FL., Paul Drummond of FL., Brian Drummond and his wife Laura of FL., William Drummond Jr. and Gregory Drummond both of FL. She also leaves her siblings, Joseph Carvalho of CA, Gerard Carvalho of Utah, Robert Carvalho of Attleboro, David Carvalho of FL, Dennis Carvalho of SC, Natalie Borba of Dighton and the late Alice Pimenta. Mary also leaves her eleven loving grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton on Monday, February 6th at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton. Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton, MA.
