Loraine S. Crepeau, 82, formerly of Inman Rd. Nasonville passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday February 1, 2017 at St. Antoine Residence. She was the loving wife of George A. Crepeau. They were married on May 23, 1964 and shared over 52 wonderful happy years together.
Born and raised in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Lucien and Bernadette (Dufresne) Gariepy. She lived in Nasonville for most of her adult life.
In her earlier years Loraine worked at Finklestein's and Eddie's Market. She was employed by AT Cross for many years until her retirement in 1999.
Affectionately known as “Beanie” to family and friends alike Loraine was a devoted wife and mother. She especially loved her role as a grandmother and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.
Loraine was adept at pottery and ceramics and skilled at crocheting.
Beanie shared her gift of music as a member of the singing group "The Choraleers" for over 35 years. Her beautiful soprano voice helped to create many memorable moments for the choir of which she was so much an integral part.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter Brigitte M. Lemoi and her husband, Jason, of Sterling CT and two grandchildren Cameron Fisher and Shelby Lemoi. She was the sister of the late Estelle Swain and is also survived by two nephews, one niece and her extended family both on her and her husband’s side.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11:00 am in St. Antoine Chapel, 10 Rhodes Ave. North Smithfield. Burial will be private.
