Edna C. Warden, 94, of Manchester, NH passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Elliott Hospital in Manchester surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 7, 1922 in Jersey City, NJ, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Curtis) Henry. Prior to moving to Manchester, she had resided in Derry, NH for 38 years and had previously lived in Neptune, NJ.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Flint and her husband Bill, and Linda Warden-Burglund, four grandchildren, Laura Pawlyk and her husband Jay, Nancy Burglund, David Burglund and his wife Sheila, and Michael Burglund, four great-grandchildren, Brianna, Julia, Daniel, and Taylor; one brother Joseph Henry and his wife Lillian, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years, Raymond E. Warden in 2012 as well as a daughter, Jane Ellen in 1961, one brother and four sisters.
Calling hours were held on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 6 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday February 7, 2017 at 10:30am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Graveside services that followed at 1:00pm at the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery, Route 3, Boscawen, NH.
