JoAnne (Vivolo) Ruggiero of Lynnfield died on Tuesday, January 31, at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Born and raised in Boston's North End, she was the daughter of the late Alfonso and Anna (Galasso) Vivolo. JoAnne lived for many years in Saugus before settling in Lynnfield in 1979 and was employed as an Event Planner.
JoAnne was the beloved wife of Nicholas F. Ruggiero, and the devoted mother of Nicholas F. Ruggiero Jr. and his wife Jenna of New York City, Mark A. Ruggiero and his wife Kelly of Albuquerque, NM. She was the sister of Leonard Vivolo and his late wife Constance of Aiken, SC, and Phyllis Cesso and her husband B. Anthony of Revere. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, February 7, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Maria Goretti, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield. Visiting hours Monday, February 6, from 4 through 8 PM.
