Francis E. Hall, 75 of Swan Road, Smithfield died Tuesday, January 31st in the South Kingstown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, West Kingstown.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Francis E. Sr. and Dorothy M. (Sholes) Hall. He had lived Smithfield for 45 years previously living in North Providence.
He was an Army Veteran. He was a Controller for KMT in Warwick before retiring. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Philip Council. He was a founder and Past-President of the Smithfield Youth Basketball Association, a member of the Smithfield Land Trust and had coached in the Smithfield Little League and Smithfield Girls’ Softball League.
He leaves his children, Timothy Hall of Alexandria, KY, Tracey Hall of Cranston, Megan Hall of Boca Raton, FL and Seth Hall of Boca Raton, FL, his sister Carol Cronin of Bonita Springs, FL and brother, Hugh Hall of North Kingston, 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Laura Hall.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, February 3rd at 11am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Smithfield. Visitation Thursday, February 2nd 5-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Inurnment will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
