Paul Gaskins, 75, of Lenox passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Gaskins at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017, at McMillan Cemetery in Colquitt County, where he will be laid to rest. The family will receive friends Friday, February 3, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Derek Spires, Kevin Spires, Randy Cone, Eugene Gaskins, Roger Cone and Cory Lord will serve as pallbearers.
Born March 26, 1941 in Berrien County, Mr. Gaskins was the son of the late Arthur Gaskins and Eliza Mae Stone Gaskins. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Lorraine Dubose; a grandson, Timothy Dubose; four brothers, Leon Gaskins, J. H. Gaskins, Melvin Gaskins and Mack Tally Gaskins; and one sister, Evelyn Chappell. Before retiring, he delivered pharmaceuticals for Solomon Drugs.
Mr. Gaskins is survived by his former spouse, Jean Gaskins of Nashville; one son, Paul E. Gaskins of Nashville; one daughter, Brenda Jean Cone of Lenox; two sisters, Patricia Ruth Dasher and Martha Louise Stover, both of Nashville; seven grandchildren, Kevin Spires, Derek Spires, Kayla Lord, Jennifer Gaskins, Arron Gaskins, Jeremy Spires and Amber Rhoten; and 13 great-grandchildren.
