Pearlie Mae Floyd, 63, of Wray, Georgia, died Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, February 2, 2017, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Steven Boyles officiating. Interment will follow in Old Union Cemetery, in Ben Hill County. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Floyd was born January 1, 1954, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Willard & Magaline Smith Grantham. She lived in the community all of her life and was a former employee of Fitzgerald Underwear, Irwin Manufacturing, Tice Yarn, Coachmen, Lowell Packing, and a cashier and cook at 319 Convenience Store and Taylor’s. Mrs. Floyd was of the Holiness faith.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Austin Floyd of Wray; children: Melissa Anne & John Patrick Hall of Irwin County, William Christopher & Jennifer Lynn Floyd of Wellford, South Carolina and Irene Elizabeth Cobb of Wray; six grandchildren: Thristan Adrian Hall, Rebecca Rose Hall, Allen Michael Mercer, Kaylee Lynn Elizabeth Floyd, Alexis Reagan Floyd and William Austin Cobb and a special sister, Virginia Raffield of Warner Robins. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
