George Richard “Dickie” Wiggins, 73, beloved husband of Jane Brigham Wiggins, entered into rest on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Trinity Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Rev. Chris Eubanks officiating. Interment to follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Mr. Wiggins was a native Augustan. He was a generous man who used his carpentry skills to help others. Mr. Wiggins was an avid Falcons and Braves fan who liked fishing and loved his red truck. His sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Wiggins is survived by his son, Richard Alan Wiggins (Cyndi); his daughter, Sheryl Baker (Ted II); his brother, Clifford Wiggins (Twyla); his sister, Carolyn Symonds (Charles); his grandchildren, Jessica Nichols (Jason), Jordan Amerson (Matt), and Ted Allen Baker, III; his great-grandchildren, Robert Hellinger, Easton Sousa, and Madison Nichols; his brother-in-law, James Wilson Brigham (Sandy); and his numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Braxton and Lavenia Beaulieu Wiggins; and by his siblings, B.W. Wiggins, Margie Reese, Laura Willis, James Wiggins, Mack Wiggins, and Gary Wiggins.
Pallbearers will be Ted Allen Baker, III, Scot Rinker, James Brigham, Robert Brigham, Darryl Symonds, Bobby Herron, and Robert Hellinger.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, February 1, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
