Patricia “Pat” Smith, 60, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, January 30, 2017, at her residence in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Friday, February 3, 2017, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, in Fitzgerald. Interment will follow in the Salem Cemetery, in Ben Hill County. The family will receive friends, Thursday evening, from 6 PM until 8PM, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith was born March 18, 1956, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to Betty Lou Garner Griffin of Fitzgerald and the late James “Jimmy” Griffin. She worked with Hometown Furniture in Fitzgerald and upholstered furniture. Mrs. Smith enjoyed growing flowers, watching wrestling, and spending time with her cat Bear. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, DaWayne Smith of Fitzgerald; brother James R. Griffin of Zebulon; sisters: Dena & Kenny Butler of Panama City, Florida, Malinia & Larry Wright of Williamson and Samantha & Jonathan Denman of Zebulon and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her faithful dog, Sam.
